Conscious Relating & Intimacy
An applied evening series. Explore and rediscover authentic wisdom, strength & sensitivity in relating to yourself and others - beyond the limiting social definitions and permissions.
Framed within the four directions of the Medicine Wheel, focused around Taoist Energy-Circulation, Qi Gong and transpersonal practices, and influenced by various other sources including David Deida, the Authentic Man Program, & Shamanic Tantra
Activities include: establishing an ongoing Taoist-based essence-cultivation physical practice in your life, self-discovery work in witnessing/sharing dyads/triads & circle, presencing exercises, dynamic & guided meditations, breathwork, and more. Each series varies the exercises & practices offered as well as offering new perspectives on core material.
This is a foundational journey, suitable for beginners and for ongoing explorers - full evenings but not at some crazy pace. Collaborative, with each of us holding space for the others. The facilitators are involved as coaches and key participants - providing frameworks & arenas for our personal journeys to be individually and uniquely discovered - rather than teaching specific 'truths' or 'definitions' from some egoic position of 'knowing all the answers'.
The self-development work is designed to begin revealing and resolving emotional and psychological restrictions to living deeply and consciously so that you can show up with more and more of your fullness, authentic self-confidence and acceptance.
The physical & energetic practices can transform how you are in the world, in sexual connection and everywhere in between. They are drawn primarily from the wisdom of Taoist Qi Gong and Tantric techniques that transform the primal energies into a powerful clarity of being.
You will learn basic practices to clear and cultivate your sexual energy that can bring a deep embodied presence for healing and pleasure. We get right down to the basics, stripping away all the complications that so much of this work can often be wrapped in - so that you build a physical practice from the ground up and solidly live it. We'll be encouraging you to take the time to integrate and learn the techniques by developing a regular home practice during the course - and reporting back for ongoing coaching.
Practicalities:
Groups are limited to around 14 participants. There will be a simple workbook to support your Taoist practice work between sessions. We typically finish the facilitated section with a short group discussion and Q&A then have an optional half-hour of chill-out time and further discussion for those who can stay longer.
There is no nudity or intimate contact at these events.
