Inner Cycle QiGong
Cultivate living from an authentic place of power, purpose, presence and passion
Golden Warrior QiGong: Inner Cycle is the next progression from the Foundations course. This is deep and powerful work that will continue re-creating your relationship to your body.
You will emerge from any of these courses with powerful tools to live from an authentic place of power, purpose, presence and passion.
Following a seasonal cycle, you will be building on the body awareness cultivated in Foundations and guided into a deep intimacy with your own body.
Each term focuses on a different element of man according to the seasonal cycles, has a different core practice and focuses on nurturing to a different tissue of the body:
Tiger Sage (harvest) | Primal Seed (nurture) | Wild Man (growth) | Phoenix King (fullness)
Cultivating groundeness, or earth, is the central theme of Foundations, and is interwoven through every term as the centre around which the changes flow.
All these courses are available to Men who've done the Foundations Course. If you want to find out about the Foundations Course so you can do these amazing workshops, go here.

The Wild Man (Wood) - Term 3
Grow your potency for Spring
Wood, the wild man, focuses on taking consciousness deep into the jade stalk (erectile tissue) and tendons, exploring the tissues with mind, body and sound to unlock the power and potency hidden behind any fear, shame, guilt and numbness in your tissues.
You'll also have the opportunity to explore your Wild Man, that place in you that yearns to throw off the shackles and inhibitions of your conditioning, including:
- What stops your growth and wildness?
- Owning your anger
- Being grounded and bounded in your generosity
The jade stalk is also known as the wand of light, or the ambassador of love, yet for most men we are holding unconscious emotions and energies here that block it from being the potent gift of consciousness it's meant to be. This course will unlock the power of your wood.
The tendons are the connective tissue of the body, an learning to cultivate them will allow you to cultivate a deep place of presence and power to the movement and connectedness of your body.
The QiGong practices will particularly support your kidneys and liver, the health of the kidneys is directly related to vitality, and the health of the liver is directly related to the firmness of your shaft.
The practices include advanced tendon wrapping, the Jade Stalk practice and the incredible Northern style WuJi Gong, as well as sharing a powerful journey with other conscious men.
We'll also be covering Jade Stalk acupressure - an essential tool in any man's lovemaking toolkit.
What can you expect from these practices?
- Discovering a new depth to your lovemaking & intimacy
- An increase in firmness of the shaft
- A feeling of power and suppleness in the body
- Less performance problems and increased confidence
- An increase in health, energy and vitality.
Phoenix King (Fire) - Term 4
Step into your fullness for summer
The Phoenix King is about heart, fire, love (our capacity to both give and receive), transforming judgement and the union of yin and yang.
A man's heart is an incredibly powerful & sensitive instrument designed to receive and navigate the world in his body, and yet for most men this organ is relatively numb or associated with pain. Receiving is a huge struggle for most men, or is caught up in identity issues.
The fire element is about embracing our fullness, our natural desire to shine in all our glory, and it is anchored in our heart. Imbalanced, it leads to judgement (inner and outer), but in harmony we find a profoundly joyful love and compassion for all that we touch.
The QiGong practices will particularly work with the Liver and the Heart, the liver having a direct relationship to shaft firmness and our sense of growth, and the heart having a direct relationship to the ability to connect with & feel a lover and how we express ourselves in the world. Growth into fullness and a firm, unwavering ability to love and be loved.
You will be exploring deep into the relationship you have with your heart, cultivating the capacity to receive love and learning to effectively mix and balance the water and fire, yin and yang of your water Ching and fire Shen (heart) energies.
This course can help you to:
- Heal and deepen your relationship with your heart
- Explore and realise self love
- Cultivate your capacity for receiving love
- Learn to make love with your heart
- Open the channels between sex and heart
- Transform the desire for ejaculation into profound connection
- Transform judgement into a potent ability to 'hold space'
This course has a stronger focus than most on working with the energy of a lover.
The Phoenix in Taoism is different to the Phoenix in western mythology. The phoenix is the ruler of the birds, representing power sent from the heavens to the Empress, or the feminine principle, which for men is at the core of our Yang.
Tiger Sage (earth/metal) - Term 1
Learn to harvest and store your Qi - increase vitality and power
There is a deep wisdom in consciously embracing the turning inwards - to cultivate and flow inwards at this time of year is the wisdom of the sages that allows us to gather, refine and store our Qi.
This time of year calls us to embrace the insight of our sage, our deep body wisdom, and to take the opportunity to harvest & refine rather than continually striving outwards - it is the practice of true potency, and takes the true courage of the tiger, the king of the animals in the Taoist tradition.
Application to lovemaking is explored - how to gather and store the powerful energies released and created. The practices will also continue to open up a new depth and power in your ability to harvest, refine and store your potent Yin Ching.
You will learn to open the microcosmic orbit, strengthen & nurture the lungs, wash the marrow and strengthen the Lower Dan Tien. Second attention training will also form a core part of this course.
From this course you can expect:
- A feeling of flow and openness through the whole body
- A feeling of deep groundedness arising from the ability to balance the primary Qi channels
- Feeling fully rejuvenated after lovemaking (whether ejaculating or not)
- An aliveness in the brain from nurturing it with your Ching
- A powerful awareness that's deeply integrated with your body
- A strengthened immune system from developing the Lung Qi
Embracing the Sage will give you the skills to embrace the wisdom of the body
Primal Seed (water) - Term 2
Primordial Seed is the winter component of the Golden Warrior QiGong Inner Cycle that builds on the Foundations Course, getting you more deeply in touch with your body wisdom, with the cycles of nature and continuing on the journey of mastering your 'intimate' energies.
Primordial Seed will help you to:
* Deeply nurture your body, right into your bones
* Clear old patterns and emotions out of the Jewels
* Master retention
* Become powerfully present through an intimate body awareness
* Develop your intuitive body wisdom
Winter is a time for nurturing and renewal, it's a time to nurture and cultivate your 'primordial seed' through the dark months so that your full potency can be revitalised. This is the dark time of the cave, of the camp fire, where deep transformation can take place if allow it to emerge within.
Practices will include the full Inner Smile, the full Jewel QiGong, Bone Marrow QiGong and MaoShan I Jong (the practice which transformed my standing practice).
